Overview
The General Formulations 400 Series is a 3.0 mil clear calendered (intermediate) vinyl UV laminate with a permanent emulsion acrylic adhesive on a smooth 53# liner. GF offers it as 400 gloss, 401 luster and 402 matte; we stock 400 gloss and 402 matte in 54" and 60" x 50 yd. GF lists outdoor durability up to 5 years.
GF designs the 400 Series to protect digital and screen-printed images from UV degradation, abrasion and moisture for exhibit, display, POP, translucent and general signage, and for transit graphics on flat or simple surfaces. It is applied cold, without heat, and is intended for flat surfaces or very slight curves.
The 400 Series is a recommended laminate for GF 201 and 203 printable vinyl in our range. For vehicle wraps, GF points you to a wrap laminate instead; see GF 231 AutoMark or a cast laminate.

Printer compatibility
Laminates are not printed. The 54" or 60" rolls cover prints from the 64" HP Latex 570. Laminate HP Latex 570 prints only after they have fully cured and cooled; latex prints come out dry, but follow the film maker's guidance before laminating.
