Overview
3M Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8428G is a 1.2 mil cast vinyl film (2.3 mil with adhesive) on a polyester liner, designed with converters and installers in mind. 3M says the thinner film offers superior feel for managing panels, is lighter than 8518, and delivers gloss similar to 8518 for a wet-paint look with excellent clarity.
It is highly conformable for compound curves and deep recesses, resists fuel vapors and occasional spills, and has an expected performance life of eight years (unwarranted, flat vertical outdoor surface). 3M recommends it for vehicle and fleet wraps, watercraft above the static water line, and transit graphics.

Printer compatibility
Laminates are not printed. The 54" or 60" rolls cover prints from the 64" HP Latex 570. Laminate HP Latex 570 prints only after they have fully cured and cooled; latex prints come out dry, but follow the film maker's guidance before laminating.
