3M Scotchcal Optically Clear Overlaminate 8914 is a 2 mil cast vinyl overlaminate with gloss >80 on a polyester liner. It is optically clear and conformable, and 3M designed it primarily to protect perforated window graphic films and keep moisture and contaminants from collecting in the film's perforations.
3M recommends 8914 for windows and glass, and its 2026 product bulletin lists an expected performance life of eight years (unwarranted, flat vertical outdoor surface). It is part of the same Scotchcal family as 8518, 8519 and 8520.
Use 8914 on 3M perforated window graphic films. For window perf from other makers, ORAGUARD 290GF and Briteline WrapCAST Optically Clear are optically clear alternatives in our range.

Printer compatibility
Laminates are not printed. The 54" rolls cover prints from the 64" HP Latex 570. Laminate HP Latex 570 prints only after they have fully cured and cooled; latex prints come out dry, but follow the film maker's guidance before laminating.
