Overview

3M Scotchcal IJ35C is a 3.2 mil calendered vinyl with a permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive and Comply air-release channels for easier, bubble-free application. 3M built it for maximized ink reception and color-dense prints on latex, solvent and UV piezo inkjet printers, and it is rated up to 5 years.

It is designed for short- to long-term indoor and outdoor promotional graphics on flat, riveted and simple-curve surfaces: labels, opaque signage, POP, A-frames and smooth wall graphics. Because the adhesive is permanent, IJ35C fits jobs where graphics must stay put rather than come off cleanly.

3M recommends Scotchcal 8508 (gloss), 8509 (luster) or 8510M (matte) overlaminates. For removable promotional graphics choose 3M 40C; for a permanent air-egress film with a laminate we stock, see ORAJET 3651RA with ORAGUARD 210 or 215.

Printer compatibility

The HP Latex 570 is a 64" roll-to-roll printer, so this 54" roll loads normally. The manufacturer lists latex inks as compatible; use the film maker's HP Latex media profile (or the closest HP generic preset for this film type), let prints fully cure, and run a test panel before production.
