Overview
3M Controltac IJ180Cv3 is the benchmark print film for full vehicle wraps. It is a 2 mil cast vinyl with 3M's Controltac slideable, repositionable adhesive and Comply v3 air-release channels, so panels can be floated into position, lifted and re-laid, then squeegeed down bubble-free. 3M rates it for long-term, removable use (up to 7 years) on flat, riveted, corrugated, simple-curve, compound-curve and concave surfaces.
Choose IJ180Cv3 when the job involves deep recesses, bumpers, mirrors or complex contours and you want a proven, installer-friendly film with a clean removal at end of life. It is also used for fleet graphics, transit graphics, watercraft, labels, smooth wall graphics and window graphics. The white luster film prints with latex, solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks.
For warranty-backed wraps, protect IJ180Cv3 with a matched 3M overlaminate. 3M lists 8518 (gloss), 8519 (luster), 8520 (matte), 8548G and others; we do not stock 3M laminates in this shop, so ask us if you need one sourced. Printer compatibility
The HP Latex 570 is a 64" roll-to-roll printer, so this 54" or 60" roll loads normally. The manufacturer lists latex inks as compatible; use the film maker's HP Latex media profile (or the closest HP generic preset for this film type), let prints fully cure, and run a test panel before production.

Is IJ180Cv3 removable?
Yes. 3M classifies it as long-term removable; see the 3M product bulletin for removal conditions.
What laminate should I use with IJ180Cv3?
3M lists 8518, 8519, 8520, 8548G and several others. A matched 3M laminate is required for 3M MCS warranty coverage.
Can I print IJ180Cv3 on an HP Latex 570?
3M lists latex inks as compatible and the 54"/60" rolls fit the 64" 570. Use a 3M/HP media profile and allow full curing before laminating.
IJ180Cv3 or IJ280?
Both are 2 mil cast wrap films. IJ280 is 3M's newer film with Comply v4 and a 10 yr rating; IJ180Cv3 is the long-proven standard with a 7 yr rating.
