Specialty Film

Specialty films let a sign shop sell more than standard vinyl. Each product here solves a specific application, so choose by the surface and the effect you need. For night visibility, printable reflective films bounce headlight glare back to the viewer: 3M Scotchlite IJ680CR for premium fleet and transit work (up to 9 years) and Briteline Reflective as a 5 mil value option meeting ASTM D4956 Type 1. For walls, match the film to the texture. 3M IJ8624 conforms to brick, block, stucco and tile. Rad Grafix is a removable matte vinyl for smooth painted walls, and GF 234 GraphiTex is a repositionable polyester fabric with a wallcovering look. For floors, Briteline MultiGRIP is a 14 mil textured film that needs no anti-slip laminate. For lit signs, Briteline Translucent diffuses light evenly in sign cabinets and lightboxes. For eye-catching stickers, Briteline Holographic Rainbow film adds a 99% opaque holographic finish. For car magnets, Magnum MuscleMag Latex is a 15 mil high-energy magnet certified by HP for the Latex 300 series; test it on a 570 first. We chose it over standard DigiMaxx, which Magnum says is not compatible with HP Latex 300/500 printers. Check each product's durability rating and recommended laminate before you quote the job.
